About the Association

The goal of the Cultural Mile Association is to brand, promote and enhance the Cultural Mile. The Cultural Mile is a concentration of culture centers, attractions, innovative architecture, year-round arts and musical events on a scale not available anywhere else in the world. Where else in the world can one listen outdoors on a gentle summer evening to a Beethoven concert, Gospel singers or the world famous Chicago blues. One can enjoy Chicago's ethnic food diversity in the Taste of Chicago. Watch a lakefront display of fireworks twice a week or see the theme-decorated yachts glide by on Venetian Night.

It is the purpose of the Cultural Mile Association to collaborate with the Museums, property owners and businesses of all kinds along Michigan Avenue to collectively market and establish the "Cultural Mile" as a premier world destination comparable with Paris and New York; to combine Magnificent Mile shopping with exploring the Cultural Mile.

Imagine the benefits to the area and your business as the world learns about the Cultural Mile. Who wouldn't want to visit, work and live within the Cultural Mile? We invite one and all, individuals and businesses to join the CMA in participation and comradery in achieving its goals and programs to make the Cultural Mile a world must visit destination.
